Alpenblow Lux Micro Inflator – Ultralight Sleeping Pad Pump, Lantern & Sound Machine in One

The Alpenblow Lux by Alpenglow Gear is a 13.7 g (0.5 oz) USB-C micro inflator that pumps up your sleeping pad in about two minutes — quietly, at just 43 dB. It's the more powerful successor to the original Alpenblow Classic.

Faster, stronger, more efficient

Compared to the Alpenblow Classic, the Lux delivers 2× faster inflation, 80% more pressure for thicker pads, and half the energy use per inflation — around 9 mAh at 5V for a NeoAir NXT, less than 1% of an iPhone's battery capacity. A dedicated deflation port speeds up camp breakdown, and a smart auto-detect function switches the lights on once your pad is full and air stops flowing.

Tip from the trail: add a final breath or two by mouth if you like your pad extra firm.

More than a pad pump

One press of the triangular logo cycles through 8 modes: inflate/deflate, three reading-light brightness levels, a candle-flicker mode, and two sound-machine settings (white noise and ocean surf, both with 30-minute auto-shutoff). The included 0.9 g Lantern Leash straps the Lux to your water bottle (NOBO, M!GO, or Thru Bottle) for a glowing tent lantern.

Everything is controlled by a single-press button — the triangular logo on the body of the pump. One press cycles you to the next of the 8 settings, looping back around. You can switch everything off at any time by simply unplugging the USB-C cable.

The 8 settings in order:

  1. Inflate/Deflate — the core setting: the pump pushes air into your sleeping pad (and pulls it back out via the deflation port when packing up). Once the pad is full and air stops flowing, the lights begin glowing — the pump signals on its own that the job is done.
  2. Low Brightness Lamps — the two reading LEDs at their lowest setting. An efficient, dimmed light for the tent.
  3. Medium Brightness Lamps — mid-level brightness.
  4. High Brightness Lamps — full brightness (the lamps draw only 0.30 W, so even at maximum they barely touch your power bank). With the included 0.9 g Lantern Leash strap, you can attach it to a water bottle and use it as a diffused lantern.
  5. Candle Flicker — the light mimics the flickering of a candle flame. For atmosphere where a real flame isn't an option.
  6. White Noise Machine — the fan runs at half speed, creating a steady white noise to block out camp sounds. Shuts off automatically after 30 minutes, so you can fall asleep without draining your battery.
  7. Ocean Surf Noise Machine — same idea, but with a calming ocean wave effect. Also has the 30-minute auto-shutoff.
  8. Off — powered down. Or simply unplug at any time.

Wide pad compatibility

Includes nozzles for Therm-a-Rest WingLock, NEMO, Sea to Summit, EXPED, and Big Agnes pads. The Lux shares the same adapter interface as the original Alpenblow, so existing adapters and accessories work interchangeably. Additional nozzles are available in the expansion pack.
