Designed for ultralight backpackers, the 40-Degree Quilt delivers lightweight, efficient warmth for three-season adventures. Its carefully designed construction provides consistent insulation from top to bottom, making it an ideal choice for comfortable nights on the trail. 

Constructed from 7-denier micro-ripstop nylon with a C0 DWR coating, both the shell and liner provide reliable water resistance while remaining breathable and featherlight. With a total weight of just 570 grams (Regular size), this quilt achieves high thermal performance without adding unnecessary bulk to your load.

The insulation consists of 1000-Fill power grey goose down, treated with a DWR finish to help maintain loft in humid or damp environments. This premium down is distributed using a three-dimensional baffling system — vertical baffles across the torso and horizontal baffles around the footbox — to prevent cold spots and ensure even warmth. The sewn-closed footbox adds additional insulation where it’s most needed, offering consistent heat retention during frigid nights.

Designed without a zipper or integrated hood, the quilt emphasizes simplicity and weight savings. It features a neck drawcord and three push-clip closures to secure the quilt around the upper body and retain heat. Four sewn-in loops and two included pad straps allow the quilt to be fastened securely to a sleeping pad, minimizing drafts caused by shifting during sleep. The design supports versatile layering systems, making it adaptable across a range of alpine and three-season adventures.

The quilt comes with a large storage sack to preserve loft when not in use. For packing efficiency during travel, it compresses easily into a 8-liter stuff sack (sold separately). With a comfort rating of 4°C, the 40-Degree Quilt is ideal for those who demand maximum warmth-to-weight efficiency without compromising on quality or packability.

The Hyperlite Mountain Gear 40-Degree Quilt is made with PFAS-free materials. Hyperlite Mountain Gear confirms that its entire quilt range, as well as its supply chain, has been audited for PFAS compliance.
